1. I have permanent registration in Armenia
- 1Come to Armenia by June 7, 2026.
- 2Check your polling station based on your permanent registration address.
- 3Bring a valid Armenian passport or ID card.
- 4On June 7, go to the polling station and vote.
Important: if your passport has expired, renew it in advance through an Armenian consulate or after arriving in Armenia. Voting is impossible without a valid document.

2. I do not have permanent registration in Armenia
✅ This scenario applies to citizens who have lived abroad for less than 10 years
You still keep your voting right, but you must personally come to Armenia and register temporarily at your place of stay.
📋 Step-by-step voting procedure for voters without permanent registration
1Check passport validity
Your Armenian passport must be valid on election day. Renew it through a consulate if needed.
2Determine your temporary address in Armenia
Provide the exact address where you will stay on June 7, 2026.
3Submit an application to be included in the voter lists
The application is filed with the Migration and Citizenship Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs according to your temporary address.
✍️ How and where to submit the application?
🗓️ Deadlines (critical):
The application must be submitted no later than May 26, 2026, by 2:00 PM Yerevan time. This is the official deadline for processing data before the elections.
📍 Where exactly:
- ➜ At the territorial office of the Migration and Citizenship Service for your temporary place of stay in Armenia.
- ➜ You can also use the e-citizen.am portal for electronic submission if you have a valid digital signature.
📄 Documents for the application:
- •Application form, completed on site or online.
- •Armenian passport.
- •Proof of temporary address.
🤝 Can the application be submitted by proxy?
- •Yes, but only with a notarized power of attorney.
- •If you are abroad, it can be issued through an Armenian consulate or a local notary with translation and apostille.
- •The power of attorney must explicitly state the right to submit the application for inclusion in the voter lists.
- •The authorized person submits the application in person with the original or notarized copy of the power of attorney.
📌 After the application is submitted: within 3 working days your data is entered into the voter list for the specified address. You may verify your inclusion through the CEC or the hotline +374 10 555 555.

it is recommended to arrive 2 to 3 days earlier.
5On election day, visit the polling station
assigned to your temporary address. Bring your Armenian passport.

the election commission members will find your name in the additional voter list.
⚠️ Important warning: Voting is possible only in person and only on the territory of Armenia. There are no polling stations abroad, no voting by mail, and no voting through diplomatic missions.

💡 What if you have lived abroad for more than 10 years?
According to the 2026 CEC clarification, you do not lose your civic right to vote, but your data may be missing from the voter register. To participate, restore your records through a consulate or the migration service and then follow Scenario A.
📢 Citizens of the Republic of Armenia have the right to vote once they are 18 years old on election day.
Dual citizenship does not limit voting rights. The main requirement is a valid Armenian passport.
